Gaithersburg Book Festival

The Gaithersburg Book Festival — Saturday, May 20, is an annual celebration of great books and great writing that has made its mark as one of the nation’s top literary events featuring more than 100 award-winning and best-selling authors in fiction, non-fiction, mystery, poetry, children’s and young adult literature.

Best-selling and award-winning authors – include Laura Lippman, Mark Shriver, J. Courtney Sullivan, Jami Attenberg, Jessica B. Harris and Sidney Blumenthal to name just a few will participate in panel discussions and book signings.

MusicPlanetRadio’s Cerphe Colwell will interview Ben Greenman about his book Dig if You Will the Picture, a unique and kaleidoscopic look into the life, legacy, and electricity of the pop legend Prince.

You can also meet Cerphe and co-author Stephen Moore who will be doing also be signing their book Cerphe’s Up, a musical memoir about Cerphe’s career in radio broadcasting and life as a rock radio insider.

Other activities include free writing workshops, a Children’s Village, literary exhibitors, the Brew & Vine Cafe featuring live entertainment, and onsite book sales by Politics & Prose. Admission, parking and accessible shuttle buses from Shady Grove Metro and Lakeforest Mall are FREE.
